The Bread Basket - Aruba
Drink coffee on the beach before 10 am: ✓
Just out here living the dream (if you're not a beach-lover, I will pray for you).
Sipping a nice coffee on the beach while hearing waves crashing, palm trees swaying in the breeze and sand between your toes is one of the most relaxing experiences you will ever feel. Pure serenity; no obligations and absolute tranquility.
Over the holidays, I was blessed to vacation in Aruba. There, my family and I walked plenty of beach and found ourselves soaking up the sun as much as possible. Of course, in support of my blog and an excuse to purchase a cup of coffee, we came across this small shop on the beach: The Bread Basket.
With a European owner to greet you, the feeling of unfamiliarity was infatuating. I love to explore things outside of my comfort zone and take in as much culture as possible. Being in a whole different country was a part of that dream. The owner greeted my family with a genuine smile and was immediately ready to service us. I ordered the Extreme Coffee Toffee Iced Coffee. The cold drink was exceptionally sweet with a subtle coffee finish. If you are like my mom, (Hi Mom!) you would absolutely fall in love with this drink because it is like liquid sugar. It will give you the caffeine boost you want without the coffee overtaking. Personally, I would have wished for one or two more shots of espresso to really taste the coffee delight. But, with an atmosphere like this, I have nothing to complain about!
