Imagine this: European delicacies that you can taste through the glass paired with simplistic brews of lattes, cappuccinos and Americanos. You can capture this at Tuula's European Cafe in Dublin, Ohio. Known for the fine pastries, quiches and cakes, this new cafe is a hidden gem. As I ventured into the shop, I was greeted by a board of "Daily Specials" with eye-catching designs. My selection was the Biscotti and Coffee combination for $4.00. The toffee biscotti was to DIE for. With just enough crunch to be dipped into a steaming cup of coffee without going limp, the small toffee pieces topped off the sugary delicacy.
The coffee, by far the most interesting part of the shop, was intriguing and unique. Upon ordering your drink, you are pointed to a table located directly behind you to pick your dainty white mug, identical to the others, and go to the coffee station around the corner. During this holiday season, there were two choices: black coffee and Holiday Cinnamon Cardamom. The help-yourself remedy allowed me to doctor up my drink to my liking. The specialty coffee had a strong spiced cinnamon finish. When paired with the biscotti, the bittersweet mixture of toffee crunch and cinnamon black coffee was perfectly blended in the cup. The owner, authentic to the European cafe, immediately flaunted the expertise of the company as a whole.
