Fox in the Snow - New Albany, OH {GRAND OPENING!}

In Ohio, a snowstorm means homemade hot chocolate, game night and plenty of family time. For me, it means risking my life (and my dad's, he's a trooper for tagging along) and attending the Grand Opening of Fox in the Snow Cafe!

Of course, it was the biggest event of the day and the cafe was packed. I'm not sure if the customers were buzzing off of the espresso or the excitement of a new location. With exposed ceilings and wooden community tables, it was easy to get lost in the daydreams of a coffeehouse in a big city; the hustle and bustle of people coming and going, complimented by bringing the outside in. Small trees and manicured houseplants occupied shelving on the walls and table centerpieces to create that urban feel.

Although the cafe had no flavorings to choose from, the barista sweetened my drink with honey. The cappuccino itself had a bold taste but finished smoothly. My favorite aspect was how much foam sat atop the drink. And I know the barista had fun making her own design too. Although a little pricy, the experience was worth paying for. Definitely come here for your classic cup of coffee and, if you're feeling ambitious, pair it with one of their many pastries or egg delights.
