French Twist Iced Latte

Updated: Jan 6, 2019

Sidewalk Cafe - Boston, MA

Parallel parking is a must for this little coffee shop. As you pull onto the narrow street that houses the cafe, check your mirrors, turn on your blinker and prepare to squeeze in wherever possible. On the corner is one of the most unique coffee shops in the city: Sidewalk Cafe. It's easy to see where the name comes from, as you enter the shop from the sidewalk out front. Surrounded by triple deckers, the coffee shop was tiny. Walking through a three seasons room into the main ordering area, the venue seats about eight. This is the way of the city: in and out service without hesitation.

I paired my French Twist Iced Latte with an egg and sausage English muffin. The mocha caramel twist was just strong enough to mask a bitter coffee flavor. For those who like coffee with their sugar, this is the place for you. The sandwich was exceptional. With the perfect balance of bread, meat and cheese, there was no question if it would need to be saved for later. For just around $6.00, this combo would definitely be bought again.
