Blue Bottle Coffee Co. - Boston, MA

This is your authentic brew. As you shop in the Prudential Center, attend a conference, or have just finished up a laboring business meeting, you can find your basic brew here. Not only is every cup freshly made, customers can purchase to-go bags full of beans ready to be ground and roasted. If you want to become a brew connoisseur for yourself, you can also purchase any brewing equipment needed. From grinders, brewers - even filters - an at-home coffee shop is right around your corner. If you are one who seeks out the sugary delight in a cup of espresso, this is not the shop for you because you pick the brew just for you, then you add sugar and cream. There are plenty of options to please any coffee snob.
I chose the cappuccino to give me a little push of energy on my exhaustive tour of Boston. The espresso exploded in the cup and the milky froth was perfectly proportional. After adding pure cane sugar, the cup was delightful. Paired with the cold weather and brisk wind, the coffee warmed my insides. Knowing that prices escalate in Boston compared to your local small town shop, the small cup was surprisingly very narrow and short. The price was $5.25, more than usual, especially for the size of the cup. I guess you could say it encapsulates the big city vibe - small things for big prices.
